Fix it yourself first
The majority of launch problems — stuck downloads, missing codecs, anticheat dialogs — already have documented fixes in the wiki's troubleshooting article.
Read TroubleshootingBefore you file a report
- You've worked through the troubleshooting guide for your symptom.
- You've searched the issue tracker for an existing report of the same problem.
- The problem still happens on the latest version, BootStrap v1.0.0.
- You've temporarily emptied your mods folder and disabled custom flags to rule out conflicts.
System info to include
- Your BootStrap version — shown at the bottom of Settings → About (e.g. v1.0.0).
- The newest log file from
%TEMP%\BootStrap\Logs— attach it to your report; it usually identifies the failure instantly. - Your Windows version (e.g. Windows 10 22H2 / Windows 11) and whether it's an N edition.
- Precise steps to reproduce: what you clicked, what you expected, and what happened instead.
